Job Description

The Fashion Assistant will support Glamour, Allure and Teen Vogue and is a member of the Global Fashion Network. They are responsible for assisting on all fashion editorial and projects.

Candidates must have an interest in fashion, beauty, and popular culture. Ideal candidates will be extremely organized problem-solvers who work collaboratively with a small team to deliver results.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work directly with fashion editor, communicating daily about upcoming fashion stories and fashion market work

  • Assist with overseeing and executing all current fashion projects including managing run-throughs, fittings, sample tracking and shoot logistics

  • Communicate with fashion brand PR representatives daily to build and maintain positive relationships

  • Assist stylists with market work, fittings, and on set as needed

  • Oversee the organization of the fashion closet & ensure efficient and smooth operations

  • Track all samples that enter and exit the fashion closet

  • Liaise with the returns team to ensure garments are returned accurately and efficiently

  • Facilitate and monitor any necessary logistical procedures, including messenger pickups or shipments, packing, etc

  • Assist with maintaining fashion week calendar for department and appointment scheduling

  • Assist with other brands in the Global Fashion Network as needed

Desired skills & qualifications:

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • Extremely organized

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Deep interest in fashion and knowledge of culture

  • Ideally some experience working in fashion
