Category management for the New Computing portfolio ensuring meeting the Management plan and P&L. Setting objectives, goals, strategies & measures for the category. Responsibility for AP2, commercial management, proposition development, sell-in activity, ranging management, go-to-market launch readiness, commercial sales support and in-life/end-of-life product life cycle management. Make decisions that impact directly on business goals whilst utilising analysis and interpretation skills to drive commercial value from data.
From launch, through optimisation by model and by account, on to end of life and transition to new models, your analysis and decisions will ultimately increase our market share. Achievements in the role, are recognised against clear Key Performance Indicators, and will be visible within Samsung at the highest levels, opening up opportunities to drive the business.

As ambassador for the New Computing product group, the product manager is the key driver within Samsung UK, with responsibility for the creation and implementation of the annual Product Strategy and Business Plan across UK and Ireland.
The PM is responsible for pricing, positioning and channel distribution through the life of the product from launch to EOL monitoring both the market trends and internal forecasting.
The PM will have excellent communication skills balanced with sound business acumen. Capable of creating outstanding business plans that clearly communicate the key message of the product group both internally and externally.
Own the New Computing Product group to create, coordinate and deliver our targets through the SEUK IM New Computing Product Plan in our direct and indirect channel partners
Collaborate with the New Computing Product Management Team, wider Product Management team and the overall business to achieve key SEUK MX critical metrics, revenue, volume, share, profit and investment ratio targets
Produce launch materials and support product launch, ranging and sell through.
Deeply understand, interpret and champion Samsung New Computing products, the market, its consumers, channels and competitors within SEUK MX, ETO & Suwon and reflect within the plan
Align, negotiate business opportunities, gain consensus and approval with the Head of PM, SEUK Leadership Team and Business Strategy Directors on the components of the New Computing products plan
Work with wider MX peer group (sales, marketing & retail) to ensure alignment, consensus of the plans with clear feedback loop and issue management. Working with pier groups to identify areas of improvement risks and solutions to ensure the plan is delivered
Actively track and report the status of the sell-out of the plan, identifying and analysing areas of below plan performance. Go deep to understand what is behind the performance and make fast recommendations on how to correct or offset. Work with pier group, Head Tab & MEP PM, Head of Product Planning & Pricing and the wider business to rapidly raise areas of concern and build effective solutions to return the performance to the plan.
Own the sell-out (AP2) forecasting for New Computing products at SKU level (customer, colour, memory variant) and align with demand planning & sales operations on the equivalent sell-in that this forecast generates to ensure SEUK MX achieves its sell-in revenue target. Report on any changes, and implications of current performance on key critical metrics
Actively respond to changes in the market and actual performance to update, evolve and implement new activities and actions to achieve SEUK MX Key Performance Indicators and objectives within any given period
Understanding of Samsung segmentation and customer audiences to align product strategy
Fundamental responsibility for the SEUK MX New Computing Product Plan and its implementation.
