Job Description

Member of the Legal & General Growth Partners (“LGGP”) investment team, working directly on its UK Universities strategy and contributing to the overall development of the LGGP platform. Focusing on the evaluation, execution and subsequent portfolio monitoring of direct investments in the deeptech/cleantech sectors. Assisting the team in its active approach to investor engagement and thought leadership. Collaborative team approach across other sectors and working across non-university investment or other relevant venture capital strategies including Fund-of-Funds and Strategic Projects.

 

Qualifications

  • A successful track record of investing in Series A-C deeptech/cleantech transactions, with experience from Venture Capital, Growth Equity, Investment Banking or other relevant industries·
  • Proficient at diligencing and presenting all areas of a potential investment including technical analysis, market positioning, team, financial analysis, valuation and risk
  • Deeptech/Cleantech sector expertise across one or more of the key sub-sectors including, sustainable next-gen computing, cyber security, AI, net zero, industrial technologies and next-gen materials, plus broad knowledge of the key international business models
  •  A broad network within the deeptech/cleantech investment industry, likely to include relationships with investors, corporates and thought leaders
  • Clear communicator with the ability to influence senior colleagues, management teams and within other investors
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a collaborative cross-function team
  • Strong work ethic and enthusiastic about supporting impactful companies
