Your role at a glance

Due to exciting transformation, we are pleased to announce an opportunity for collaborative, inclusive, and engaging individual, with extensive Third-Party Risk experience gained from a supplier/vendor management to join our Procurement & Supplier Management (GPSM) team as a Third-Party Risk Manager.

In this exciting role you’ll work in a team that’s responsible for maintaining TPRM principles, policies and standards ensuring that the third-party service providers are vetted, monitored regularly, and managed to mitigate risks that could negatively impact Legal and General.  You’ll be responsible for working across Group Procurement & Supplier Management teams and 2nd Line of Defence Risk Stewards to quickly respond to evolving business needs and facilitate supplier due diligence and ongoing control management activities by collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

This is an exciting time for the team, and you’ll play a key role in helping us to mature function. You’ll have lots of autonomy and variety with your day-to-day work, giving you a sense of ownership, and the freedom to be curious and bring new ideas to the table.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the development and implementation of TPRM policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with changing regulatory requirements and business needs working closely with risk stewards across 2nd Line of Defence
  • Support the completion of accurate materiality assessments and reporting thereof of potential and existing suppliers of Legal and General and facilitate supplier segmentation
  • Perform due diligence of potential and existing suppliers and monitoring compliance against regulatory requirements at periodic intervals
  • Ensure documentation and records are maintained in appropriate systems and tools and updated at required intervals
  • Support business stakeholders and suppliers to develop risk management plans
  • Ensure the quality of TPRM activities are completed in accordance with L&G and regulatory requirements and in line with the company's consumer duty accountability
  • Provide guidance to SRM, Procurement and Stakeholders regarding TPRM processes and standards

Qualifications

  • Third Party Risk experience gained from a supplier/vendor management, category management, or business development background.
  • Record of accomplishment in supporting the development or maintenance of risk policy in relation to suppliers, with appropriate levels of risk management.
  • Good understanding of Third-Party Risk Management practices and strategies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory framework, ideally in relation to Financial Services.
