    Job Description

    We are currently recruiting a Transition Consultants Manager to join our team on a Fixed Term Contract basis. 

    In this role, you will manage a team of Transition Consultants to deliver an outstanding transition service to new Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) business and ensure the team meets client requirements within required timescales. This will include supporting the Transition Directors, Senior Transition Managers and  Transition Managers in managing their portfolio of clients and working with wider PRT Client Service teams for successful scheme transitions.

    What you'll be doing

    • Managing, motivating and developing employees at all levels, in a manner that is consistent with the Company’s policies and procedures, including the Partnership Agreement, to maximise the performance of the area
    • Designing, implementing and maintaining a plan for inflight transitions, including prioritisation against customer/business need and cost, and deliver against plan.
    • Proactively monitoring the workload across the team and the workflow of pre-sale support and post-sale transitions to ensure compliance with agreed service levels.
    • Understanding and maintaining the team’s work processes; regularly review and update processes to support new developments.
    • Meeting specified internal quality and productivity levels set by management in order to achieve the throughput of new PRT business.
    • Ensuring that the team provide the highest level of support to clients (internal and external) including consultants, trustees, administrators and pensioners at all times to ensure that all of their enquiries are resolved in accordance with the relevant SLAs
    • Ensuring all risks and controls relating to the department are monitored and reported in accordance with risk and compliance.
    • Treating Customers Fairly (TCF):  Work with the Head of Client Propositions in the development and delivery of the appropriate strategy and plan to ensure all Transitions activities are delivered in line with Legal & General’s customer experience expectations and Treating Customers Fairly

    Qualifications

    What we're looking for

    • Prince 2 practitioner desirable
    • PMI or demonstrable experience
    • In depth understanding of defined benefit pension schemes
    • Understanding of the legal framework around de-risking and buy in/buy out contracts
    • Has a knowledge of the following legislation and remains compliant:
      • Data Protection Act / GDPR
      • Money Laundering
      • Complaints
      • Treating Customers Fairly 
      • Breach guidelines
    • Good team management skills, ability to develop and mentor individuals.
    • Strong organisational, project management and change management skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise and work independently, managing a high-volume of tasks and deadlines.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various businesses and key support functions
    • Minimum 2 years Defined Benefit pensions experience
    • Experience in building relationships with key stakeholders
    • Proven background in adapting to trends and openness to new ideas
    • Experience in delivering best practice MI solutions (e.g. highlight reports, management dashboards).
