Job Description

The Development Experience Consultant role has a key part to play in delivering talent, learning and development activity to support our goals.

Our People Development Consultant consults with the business and our people to uncover needs and solve real problems by creating incredible learning and development experiences. The experiences that they design help people to perform in their roles, connect with insights and develop in their careers. The person in this role uses their creativity as a driving force to design, deliver and maintain unforgettable, effortless, effective, measurable experiences that put our people and customers at the heart of the design process. This role is about supporting our people today and looking around corners to anticipate future needs in an ambitious, agile and authentic way. The role holder creates blended experiences that drive business outcomes and that build future-ready capability across L&G at a global level. The person in this role is super organised, passionate about delivering a great experience and is hungry to learn.

What we are looking for:

  • Implement changes to Performance Management
  • Run experiments to test new approaches in the team
  • Support content development and deployment of leadership development programmes including Thriving, Senior Leaders Events, People Management Fundamentals, Apprenticeships, Graduate schemes and Driving Performance
  • Provide consultancy and guidance on suppliers for early careers professional qualifications activity and wider scheme activity
  • Provide insight and consultancy into early careers development activity (e.g. Graduate & Apprenticeship learning journey)
  • Support insights work by running focus groups, interviews and surveys
  • Support content curation and distribution by writing communications and managing content on learning platforms like Hive & The Hub
  • Be part of core working group to develop Critical Capabilities, including Digital and Data
  • To support the inclusion agenda by using creativity as a driving force to support design and the execution of the inclusion agenda when required

Qualifications

  • Experience within a people development role
  • Evidence of consulting skills to support creative problem solving
  • Evidence of co-ordinating and project-managing complex development programmes
  • Experience of managing senior stakeholders
  • Evidence of leading insights work
  • Experience of working with creative problem-solving frameworks like 5Di
  • Experience of work outside the learning industry
  • A passion for your own development.
  • Consulting to deliver impact and growth
  • Managing stakeholders with impact and influence
  • Project-managing learning programmes from concept to delivery
  • Navigating complex organisations
  • Experience of working with a diverse audience to deliver solutions that work across regions, roles and levels.
  • Developing strong relationships and networks to get things done
  • Working with user-centred experience design, running focus groups and user testing.
  • Collaborative working with 3rd party suppliers
  • Prioritising work and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Influencing stakeholders to think differently about learning
  • Embedding, sustaining and measuring behaviour change as a result of your work.
