The Opportunity:
The Planer Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation & modification of all planer machine and related equipment, including set up and maintenance of the planer, while safely maximizing uptime, quality and productivity.
Requirements:
- Able to troubleshoot and perform all maintenance repairs
- Make necessary adjustments for proper machine setup
- Identify and troubleshoot planer machine defects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner individually and in a team environment
- Solid background in heavy industry and construction
- Knowledge of lumber manufacturing and welding are considered assets
