Environmental Social Governance (ESG) is an exciting and rapidly growing area. Dun & Bradstreet is an almost 200 year old company whose original purpose was providing more business information to customers. In this same spirit of transparency, D&B is extending its efforts to generate ESG intel on its robust coverage of companies. With this position, you will play a key role leading client engagements and spear heading D&B’s commercial activities as we pilot and fully launch this new solution across our UK, Europe, and wider International business.
Key responsibilities
Develop and own the Go To Market strategy for ESG in D&B’s European and wider International business.
Lead ESG client engagements working directly with D&B’s experienced business development team. Via our sales organization you will be invited to attend client meetings to discuss our ESG solutions and explore how they can fit client needs.
Help develop and fine tune our product and proposition to fit UK, European, and wider International client needs, working closely with our Global ESG organization
Build plans and support roll out of knowledge development of ESG across a wider team of solution specialists to support scaling this business
Track and manage all RAID items (Risks/Actions/Issues/Dependencies) to ensure proactive resolution.
Prepare materials for Steering Committee meetings, facilitate discussions, and document meeting minutes.
Escalate and manage high-level risks to achieve timely closure. Signal and communicate help needed beyond risks related to GTM launches.
Provide support to the UK Managing Director in monthly reporting of UKI Strategic Objectives and quarterly Board Report creation.
Track key measures of success post-GTM launches for a duration of 3-6 months.
Consolidate the GTM Roadmap across all Lines of Business (LOBs) for presentation to the Strategic GTM Executive Committee.
Play a leadership role on our x-functional ESG team and collaborate with functions such as Product Management, Marketing, Go To Market, Sales
Responsible for capturing client feedback in relation to the suitability of our product to meet their needs in a structured manner (Lead proof of concept & Early Adopter client engagements) and ensure feedback is factored into Product and commercial plans
Key requirements
5+ years of experience in the UK / European ESG space
Experience with ESG market needs, competitive landscape, methodologies, regulatory landscape and market trends
Have operated in solution sales or consulting roles, confident in working with large corporate clients for 3+ years
Has experience leading large initiatives in matrixed organisations including cross functional leadership to achieve stated business objectives
Background in data / analytics industry a plus
Strong communicator with ability to influence, negotiate and build trust across multiple divisions
Presentation skills (both in spoken and written formats) and fluency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Understanding of how companies are evaluating and incorporating ESG and climate issues in their decision-making and the organizations involved (e.g., TCFD, SASB, UNPRI)
Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, with a positive, “can do” attitude
Fluency in English, and fluency in other European languages would be beneficial
