Junior Digital Designer - Ben Sherman
Ben Sherman started out in 1963 producing standout button down shirts from a factory in Brighton. Over 6 decades later the brand is still producing standout shirts, but has also expanded to a full lifestyle collection rich in the brands DNA. From the early days the brand has been linked to music and British subcultures and that remains a core aspect of the brands appeal today.
We are on a fast paced expansion to build the brand up through our online presence, our own retail stores, key wholesale partners and the boutique menswear stores that showcases the brand’s products & aesthetic to our broad customer base. To succeed in this expansion we are currently looking for talented, passionate individuals to drive the brand forward through it’s next evolution.

Purpose of the role:
We’re on the lookout for a charismatic, hard-working individual to join... our Creative team. Reporting into the Senior Digital Designer and working closely with the other designers and ecommerce & marketing teams, the Junior Digital Designer will help develop the online brand identity for Ben Sherman through creating innovative seasonal designs, which fit with the overall brand/creative direction, at an exciting time of growth for the brand.
Responsibilities:
• Supporting with BAU updates including email marketing communications and website updates.
• Creating engaging assets (image/animation/video) for organic & paid social media, display and affiliate channels.
• Work with the wider creative team to translate marketing collateral to digital assets for online use (e.g. local marketing, blog posts, competitions, lookbooks).
• Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all digital assets are on brand, aligned with wider brand communications and tailored to each of our specific global markets.
• Close attention to detail across artwork and imagery.
• Use feedback from other designers to improve your work.
• Participate in creative meetings and involvement in seasonal concepts and idea creation.
• Keeping up to date with new software and keen to keep developing digital skills.
In order to be successful in this position you will need the following:
• Experience in a similar design role, preferably at a retail company.
• Graduate degree in design.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, able to adapt to change and redefine goals as necessary.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A portfolio to demonstrate your digital creativity
• Excellent knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Would be highly beneficial to have knowledge of Figma, After Effects and Trello.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
• A keen team player.
• A can-do attitude and positive approach that fits well with company culture.
